Wedding make-up is all about subtlety, natural appearance and a healthy glow. But that doesn't mean that we shy away from colour. When having your photographs taken, you're going to need a little more colour, in blush for example, so as not to appear washed out by the camera's flash. The time of day that your ceremony is held is very important to the Makeup Artist. For example; Midday to mid-afternoon is when the sun is waning and light is at it's most flattering. A morning wedding might require a lighter, softer appearance. And an evening wedding might get away with something more vibrant and contrasting.

At your consultation I'll try out a couple of different looks according to your preferences and that will give you a feel for how things will look on the day.  I'll also apply a set of false lashes so you can see how they feel and the effect they have. We'll also discuss skin type and shade, preferences and a bit about your current skin-care regime and things you can do to maximize your beauty in the run up to the wedding day such as an eyebrow re-shape, upper-lip wax, daily cleansing routine and diet. Phew! sounds over-whelming doesn't it so feel free to invite your bridesmaids for their input and maybe open a bottle of wine too! 

I like to consult no later than 4 weeks prior to the wedding day so that we both have enough time to make decisions and source materials. Once we've come to a decision on the look for the day, I will source everything we need and you can concentrate on the other aspects of the wedding with confidence.

On the day I will apply a full application to you and any other members of your party at your house or initial location. I will then join you at the venue and beyond for touch-ups through out the day such as before the ceremony, before the photographs and before you enter the reception. And then, I will slip away when I am no longer needed.
